Age Concern Montgomeryshire provide information & advice to older people, at our drop-in-centre in Newtown on Monday to Thursdays from 9:30 until 2:00, and by phone on01686 623707.
We offer talks to groups, speakers lists, loan scheme and newsletters. We run Healthy Living Centres in 5 locations across Montgomeryshire, which provides a day of activities, exercise classes, visits from speakers and a two course lunch, with annual outing. Limited transport is available.
Severn Valley Strollers meet weekly in Newtown, Welshpool, Pontrobert, Llandrinio and soon Llanidloes will be joining in. The walks last from 30 minutes to an hour and are gentle, sociable walks.
We have a team of befrienders.
We promotevolunteering for older people - through fundraising projects, befriending schemes, Healthy Living Centre programme and one-off projects.
