Powys Agency for Mental Health is a development service, a voluntary organisation, and a part of PAVO (Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations).
PAMH works with others to promote good mental health, identify the mental health needs of people in Powys, develop initiatives, and to help ensure, directly and indirectly, that those needs are met in accordance with best practice.
PAMH has an Information Service, which runs an Information Library and website. It supports and works with Powys Mental Health Alliance, and offers a consultancy service to existing mental health groups. PAMH helps with new mental health initiatives and supports new mental health groups. It plans services in partnership with statutory service and others, offers training, seminars and conferences. PAMH originates and co-manages projects where appropriate. It promotes positive attitudes towards mental health.
